POP3 Email Account Setup

Post Office Protocol 3 or POP3 accounts are real email accounts you can setup to be handled by your web site. Accounts will hold up to 10 MB of storage (be careful if you plan to receive large files) and count towards the total amount of storage used by your web site. 5 POP3 email accounts using 10 MB of storage each will consume 33% of your available web site storage space for most hosting accounts. (Most accounts come with a whopping 150 MB).

You can setup your email client software to delete email on the server after downloading your email (you should set yours to do this) Since most web sites are only about 5-10 MB or less, 5-20 email accounts is rarely a problem.

Choose your password carefully. Don't use you name, address, spouse, children's or pets name. We recommend using a combination of random letter and numbers and don't begin your password with a number.
